Overview

The Arm Lift (Brachioplasty) is designed to remove loose skin and fat of the upper arm, while tightening the upper arm skin.  In some patients with extensive loose skin, the arm lift may even extend further down below the elbow.

The Procedure

For the brachioplasty, Dr. Schneider uses an incision that sits on the inside of the upper arm so that the incision scar is not visible when your arms are at your sides.

The arm lift procedure uses a long-acting anesthetic in the skin.

Continuing, the procedure does not involve tightening muscle. We do this to minimize any significant amount of post-operative discomfort.

The procedure takes Dr. Schneider about 1.5 – 2 hours to perform, and patients are able to go home the same day. Patients may shower the next day, and most are able to return to work (depending upon their job type) within a few days.
